DFWRIMO Day 1: Pledge to Write
During Decision Fiction Writer’s Month, September 1st through September 30th, 2018, we are publishing a month long tutorial series on creating interactive fiction stories that fit our distribution platform. Our goal is helping you complete one 20,000 word interactive fiction narrative written in 30 days or less. Any writer can quickly learn how to write for Decision Fiction using the open-source software Twine. So no experience is necessary.
We’re taking the first 9 days to brainstorm and structure our stories, and the next 20 days from September 10th, 2018 to September 30th, 2018 to write 1,000 words a day.
Writers that complete (or have an already completed Twine story), submit and are approved for distribution through our platform, will get particularly visible story listings on our platform's first network releases: Decision Fiction on iOS, Decision Fiction on Android and Klicktion (featuring Kin cryptocurrency via the Kin Developer Program) on Android. Furthermore, we are thrilled to offer our distribution platform and service on additional networks in early 2019 such as Facebook Messenger, Telegram Messenger, Line Messenger and more!
We will open our submissions later in the month. (Click here to contact us now about distribution.) Until then, your first assignment is to pledge to write. The first challenge any writer faces is agreeing to write consistently. We have set up a modest page HERE on RallyUp for people willing to make their pledges public. For those who are shy, carry out your commitment in private and tune into this tutorial series to get tips, tricks and sneak peeks into the Decision Fiction platform.
